Walk this way...

Hayden took his first step!!!! Woohoo! We are so excited our sweet angel decided to take his first step this past Saturday. It was all in the name of goldfish, as that was all that would entice him to walk 1 1/2 steps to Mama - but it worked! He's been doing the same 1 -2 steps ever since, and standing by himself for longer periods of time. Yay! Of course there is no picture or video, but we'll get that at some point. His FAVORITE thing to do right now is circle the kitchen with his push lion, even turning and backing up!

Here's sweet H enjoying a walk on one of our warmer days this month -so nice. I hear it's gonna be back in the 20's in another day or two!

The only thing I really dislike about the month of Janurary is the depressing empty feeling left in my house when all the glittery Christmas decorations get put away. So this year, I decided to start decorating for Valentines. A friend of mine came over and we tackled oh so cute scrap fabric wreaths - I love how it turned out! I have also had a tiny obsession with applique on t-shirts for my boy. It all started at Thanksgiving with a turkey shirt, and well, we've just HAD to have one for every holiday now! Here's his Valentine's shirt (he,he,he of course it says Mom :)

I have wanted to make Hayden a rag quilt for awhile now, I have finally started it. I just love the vintage cowboy fabric and can't wait to see how it turns out-wish me luck. I have all the squares cut, now I need to start putting this thing together....
